Claude Dashboards and Motion: the workspace goes live

Anthropic launched Claude Dashboards and Claude Motion on October 8, and the pair completes a transformation that has been building for months: Claude is no longer a chatbot with attachments, it is an office suite. Dashboards (beta, paid plans) connects to Redshift, BigQuery, ClickHouse, Databricks, Snowflake, and Salesforce; you ask in plain English, Claude writes the query, builds the chart, and keeps it refreshed as the data changes. Motion (beta, Team and Enterprise) turns a report or chart into an animated explainer. The key design decision: Motion writes animations as editable code, not generated video, so every word, number, and timing is tweakable, and the file exports as MP4. No video generation model, no AI-generated people.

Two numbers matter. 45 million+ docs, decks, and designs have already been made in Claude, which is why Docs, Slides, and Design just came out of beta onto every plan including Free. And every dashboard chart shows the query behind it plus its last-refresh timestamp. That is the anti-black-box bet: when the AI makes the chart, it also shows its work. Dashboards even hand off to the incumbent BI tools instead of replacing them (Amplitude, Grafana, Hex, Mixpanel, Omni, Perplexity, PostHog, Sigma now; Looker, monday.com, Tableau coming), and Motion hands off to Adobe, Descript, HeyGen, Runway, and the rest. The standalone Design site folds into Claude on December 14.

The read: Anthropic is competing on verification, not just generation. Query-behind-every-chart is the product answer to the trust problem that the rest of this issue is about (see The Argument). And the handoff strategy is shrewd: rather than fighting the BI and video incumbents, Claude becomes the front door that routes to them. Watch the enterprise IT reaction: dashboards that query production data stores are a permissions problem wearing a productivity costume, and the admin story (CMEK, template controls, artifact settings off by default for Enterprise) tells you Anthropic knows it.

Signal: The chatbot era is over and the workspace era has a verification layer built in: every AI-made chart carries its query, every animation its code. The moat in AI productivity is no longer who writes best, it is who shows their work. Sources: Anthropic announcement

02 · Lab Watch

The Anthropic Cyber Mission: Claude goes on defense

Anthropic’s second October 8 launch is a long-term defensive commitment with two arms. The Critical Infrastructure Defense Program brings frontier Claude models, on-site engineers, and threat research to 11 founding partners (Accenture, Booz Allen, CrowdStrike, Deloitte, Dragos, Hitachi, Insane Cyber, Nozomi Networks, Palo Alto Networks, PwC, Rockwell Automation) to secure operational technology: power grids, water, transport. The OSS Scanner offers open-source projects free periodic security scans from Anthropic’s strongest models, each report with a proof of concept, an explanation, and a suggested fix, sent without human review at an expected true-positive rate above 90%. Project Glasswing (the earlier scanning pilot) merges into the expanded Cyber Verification Program. Context worth keeping: Anthropic says it has already offered frontier models and support to more than half of US states, and its forecast is explicit: within two years, AI favors defense.

Signal: The lab that sells intelligence is now selling defense as a public good: free scanning for open source, frontier models for grid operators. The 90% true-positive claim on unreviewed model reports is the number to watch; if it holds, AI security review becomes a utility. Sources: Anthropic announcement

Anthropic rewrites its Usage Policy for the agentic era

Also October 8, effective November 12: the annual usage policy refresh, and it reads like a map of the year’s threat reports. New section “Do Not Engage in Deceptive Campaigns or Artificial Activity” consolidates rules against fake accounts, fabricated news sites, and influence-operation tooling (commercial and political). The elections section is renamed “Do Not Undermine Democratic Processes” and narrowed to voter deception, while the old blanket ban on personalized vote and campaign targeting is removed (nonprofits translating voter info and ballot-cure notices were getting caught). Weapons prohibitions now explicitly cover guidance and control software and arming drones; surveillance rules now bar tracking without consent and forbid Claude from recommending who to investigate, arrest, or charge; models connected to hardware that can take autonomous physical actions now require a qualified operator who can stop it, plus a safe state on disconnect. And a new prohibition on sustained, needless cruelty toward the models in extreme cases. In the same bundle: $150 million over three years in Claude access committed to US science agencies under the Genesis Mission.

Signal: The policy is becoming an operating system for agent deployment: hardware safe-states, human-in-the-loop for high-risk uses, and a deceptive-campaigns section that pairs exactly with OpenAI’s takedown below. Read the November 12 effective date as the enforcement line for the agentic build-out. Sources: Anthropic announcement

OpenAI disrupts its first Category 5 influence operation

OpenAI’s October 8 safety report banned two ChatGPT account clusters running false-front entities: Russia’s “Dark Clark” operation controlled a fake think tank, the “Social Research Center,” through a fabricated persona (“Mia Clark”), recruiting unwitting staff in Latin America to push anti-Ukraine messaging; Iran’s “Bogus Bylines” ran seven fake journalist personas that placed nearly 100 long-form articles across roughly a dozen small-to-medium outlets since July 2025, accelerating after the US-Iran war. OpenAI rated the Russian operation Category 5 on the six-point IO Breakout Scale, its first ever at that level; the Iranian one Category 4. Both clusters reached ChatGPT through VPNs. The company has now exposed 30 covert influence operations in two and a half years, and its lesson is structural: operations that land content in real media outlets, rather than fake social accounts, have the highest potential reach.

Signal: AI did not invent the false front (the report cites pre-AI analogues from 2016), it industrialized it: personas, pitches, long-form articles, and social comments at machine speed. OpenAI and Anthropic are now disclosing and re-policing the same threat in the same 24 hours. The verification era is not just for math proofs. Sources: OpenAI announcement · Unite.AI coverage

The Decisions API goes public beta: typed answers at $0.10 per million

OpenAI’s Decisions API (announced in the Oct 6 changelog, docs now live) evaluates text and images and returns typed answers about 10x faster than the Responses API: a predicate’s probability, a choice from a fixed set, or a score against a rubric. The pricing is the story: $0.10 per million input tokens with gpt-6-luna, and you pay only for input, no cache or output charges. It supports Zero Data Retention and HIPAA use. GA is expected “in the coming weeks.” Read against the open decision-model stack in yesterday’s issue: OpenAI is now selling the exact product the open weights community spent the last month commoditizing, at the exact $0.10 price Anthropic put on Haiku 5.5. The judgment API war is officially on.

Signal: Three sellers, one price: OpenAI’s Decisions API, Anthropic’s Haiku 5.5, and the open decision models all land at $0.10 per million input. Judgment is now a commodity with a spot price. Sources: OpenAI docs · OpenAI changelog

Ultrafast comes to GPT-6.1 Sol: 8x the speed, 6x the price

OpenAI extended its Ultrafast inference tier to GPT-6.1 Sol on October 8 across the API, Codex, and ChatGPT Work. The deal: up to 8x faster token generation than Standard (the docs cite up to 300 tok/s for Astra), at 6x the price: $12 per million input tokens, $60 per million output against Standard’s $2/$10. Sol carries a 1.05M-token context window and OpenAI positions it as near-Astra quality at one-fifth the token price. Availability: all API users (rate-limited by usage tier), but in Codex and ChatGPT Work it is gated to Pro 500, eligible usage-based Enterprise contracts, and credit-based Edu plans. EU data residency arrives for Sol Fast/Luna Fast alongside. The changelog also notes the new API usage tiers are simplified from five to three (Build, Launch, Grow) and chat-latest was refreshed on Oct 7.

Signal: Latency is now a first-class line item: three processing tiers (Standard, Fast, Ultrafast) for the same weights, priced 1x/2x/6x. The premium product is no longer a smarter model, it is a faster pipe for the same model. Sources: Ultrafast docs · GPT-6.1 Sol model page

Google: SynthID goes global, Playground turns prompts into games

Two October 7 launches from Google. The SynthID Detector is now available globally in English: anyone can check whether an image, video, or audio file carries Google’s watermark, and the partner list now includes OpenAI, NVIDIA, Kakao, and soon Apple. The scale numbers: 180 billion images and videos watermarked, plus 240,000 years of audio, with built-in verification in Search, the Gemini app, and Chrome handling over 1 million requests daily. Separately, Playground (playground.google) is an experimental prompt-to-game platform: describe a game, play it in the browser, share a link, publish to a gallery with leaderboards and multiplayer, with a Unity Spark integration coming. US only, 18+, tiered creation access based on your Google AI subscription.

Signal: Watermarking crossed the chasm from lab feature to web infrastructure: 180 billion marked assets and a detector for everyone, with OpenAI and Apple now in the tent. The Playground bet is that user-generated games are the next UGC format AI unlocks. Sources: SynthID announcement · Playground announcement

The board this morning

Hugging Face The decision models keep climbing: autotrust/JEV-27B-VL #1 (trending score 2,856; 3,427 likes), autotrust/GEV-26B-Decide #2 (1,802; 2,079 likes), Cloudflare/clef #4, clef-flash new at #11. google/embeddinggemma-2 holds #3 trending (1,251; 1,291 likes). New climbers: abenzerps/Qwen-Image-2.1-Uncensored-GGUF (3,730 likes), jialinyyzz/humanizer, Venastine-Research/Xing4.0-29B-A4B-GGUF, and autotrust/GLM5.3-Flash-E224-DGX-Spark (#9) , the local-run story of the week: GLM-5.3 squeezed by Infatoshi into 273 GiB so it runs on multi-GPU workstations, with a quantized build doing 71.8 tokens/sec on two desktop NVIDIA DGX Sparks. The all-time board barely moved: Qwen/Qwen3.8-27B at 17,323 likes. Established gravity wells losing trending momentum: FLUX.1-dev, SDXL, DeepSeek-R1, Kimi-K3, all absent from the trending list again. The pattern holds: decisions, retrieval, and local-runnable quants are climbing; image and chat models are mature.

ts-rust: a TypeScript compiler in Rust, $20k of Claude, two weeks

The newsletter’s standout signal: one developer rewrote the TypeScript compiler in Rust using $20,000 of Claude compute in two weeks. The same author, pingdotgg, has t3code (26,538 stars) on the weekly GitHub board. The number to sit with is not the $20k, it is the two weeks: a from-scratch compiler reimplementation, a project class that used to be a multi-engineer-year bet, compressed into a fortnight of agentic labor. The unit of software effort is being repriced in real time.

Signal: When a compiler rewrite costs $20k and two weeks, the scarce input to hard software is no longer engineering time, it is taste: knowing which hard thing is worth building. Sources: ts-rust on GitHub

The Chandra OCR callout: model copying goes public

The creator of the Chandra OCR model publicly called out a repo that copied the model and dropped accuracy by 2 points in the process. Small story, structural signal: as open weights proliferate, provenance and quality enforcement is happening through public shaming, not licensing. The weights are open; the reputation is the moat.

Signal: Open-weight quality control is becoming social, not legal. Expect more public callouts as model copying gets cheaper than model training. Sources: Chandra OCR 2 on HF

Oxide Computer raises $445M Series D

Oxide Computer, the rack-scale cloud computer company, announced a $445 million Series D on HN. In a week of API price wars, the big check went to hardware: own-the-stack infrastructure for the cloud, at exactly the moment everyone is arguing about where inference should run.

Signal: The week’s biggest raise is not a model lab, it is a computer company. The bet is that the cloud’s unit of sale changes and somebody has to build the new box. Sources: Oxide announcement

Sophos on OpenAI’s Daybreak: threat investigations 96% faster

OpenAI’s case-study feed surfaced something notable: a product called Daybreak. Sophos uses it to cut cyber-threat investigation time by 96% and automate 52% of MDR cases while keeping human oversight. Daybreak appears to be OpenAI’s security-operations offering, and an Artificial Analysis eval entry (“GPT-6 Sol Daybreak Blue”) hints at tiered processing under the same name. The pattern from the enterprise feed this week (Oracle, LegalOn halving Codex costs, Jump Trading, Ironclad on computer use) is the same: the enterprise AI story has moved from pilots to costed, measured production numbers.

Signal: OpenAI is quietly productizing security operations under the Daybreak name, and customers are publishing the kind of before/after numbers (96%, 52%) that sell the next hundred deals. Watch Daybreak become a named product line. Sources: OpenAI case study

Anthropic commits $150M to US science

Anthropic is committing $150 million over three years in Claude access to 15 US science agencies under the federal Genesis Mission, alongside Claude for Science work (one result this week: filling a missing UV third of sky survey data). It is philanthropy with a strategy: the lab that wants scientists as users is buying the relationship at national scale.

Signal: $150M of free compute for science is the cheapest possible distribution into the research workflows that produce the next benchmarks. The labs are competing for the scientists now. Sources: Anthropic announcement

05 · Leaderboard

The changelog’s notable entries: Harvey LAB-AA v1.1 (Oct 8) adds hallucination checks to the agentic legal benchmark, raising the bar exactly where AI mistakes cost the most. The Haiku 5.5 effort ladder (Low through Xhigh) is fully evaluated, and new evals include Ling 3.1 Flash and GPT-6 Sol (Daybreak Blue, max). The quiet trend: benchmarks are adding trust dimensions (hallucination checks, private coding tests in the rebuilt Intelligence Index v5) faster than they are adding capability dimensions. The eval industry heard the gaming complaints.

Signal: The benchmark war is shifting from “who is smartest” to “who can be checked.” Hallucination tests in legal evals and private coding tests in the Intelligence Index are the anti-gaming turn. Sources: AA: Harvey LAB-AA v1.1 · AA: Claude Haiku 5.5

OpenRouter: the churn is the story

OpenRouter Sorted by tokens this morning: Command Code ~1.54T (back to #1), Hermes Agent ~1.43T, Claude Code ~1.28T, Nous Research API ~1.28T (the 3.7x jump is deflating), Codex ~0.59T (climbing), Kilo Code ~0.56T, ZCode ~0.51T, OpenClaw ~0.50T, Cline ~0.47T, Freebuff ~0.45T, Proto Agent ~0.37T, pi ~0.35T, omp ~0.22T, DeepSeek Harness ~0.17T, OpenHands ~0.15T. Notable exits from the top 20: Framer (yesterday’s #5 at 1.17T), codex-fleet conductor (yesterday’s fastest climber). Two straight weeks of violent reshuffling says the board measures attribution windows and launch spikes, not durable usage.

Signal: When the #5 app vanishes from the board overnight, you are watching a sentiment market, not a usage market. The stable positions belong to the agents with session persistence (Hermes, Claude Code); everything else is weather. Sources: OpenRouter rankings

06 · The Argument

Lost in translation: the Lean checkmark that verified the wrong proof

The strongest follow-up yet to OpenAI’s 722-proof dump. Bastounis, Circelli, and Hansen (Oct 6) show that autoformalization can verify a Lean proof that does not correspond to the natural-language proof it claims to check, including in OpenAI’s announced Navier-Stokes blow-up result. Their theoretical result is the headline: resolving the ambiguities of mathematical prose for semantically faithful translation sits at SCI = infinity on the Solvability Complexity Index, informally harder than any computational problem, including the Halting problem (SCI = 1). Read against yesterday’s card: the history.md retraction log handles errors inside the formal corpus, but this paper attacks the bridge between the English argument and the formal artifact. A green checkmark on a proof of the wrong statement is worse than no checkmark, because it launders confidence.

Signal: Formalization coverage (now ~42% of the corpus) measures the wrong thing if the translation is unfaithful: the bottleneck is not verifying Lean, it is proving the Lean says what the English said. Machine-speed math needs a semantics check, not just a syntax check. Sources: arXiv:2610.08144

Why isn’t the industry freaking out about DeepSeek 4.1 Flash?

834 points on HN for a practitioner essay that is really a pricing obituary. A month of heavy use across a dozen projects: indistinguishable from Opus in-session, with DeepSeek’s KV cache shrunk ~437x versus V1, so all-day coding sessions on an OpenCode Go $10/month sub stay under a dollar (“reorganize your desktop files for $0.003 instead of $1”). The author’s frame: big pharma versus generic manufacturers, same workloads, a 90% price cut. His workflow now is DeepSeek for everything, Opus 5.5 pulled in only for final review on critical tasks, “less about quality and more about new eyes on a problem.”

Signal: The frontier premium is becoming a review premium: cheap models do the work, expensive models do the audit. When “good enough” is $0.003 a task, the labs’ pricing power lives entirely in the tasks where the audit matters. Sources: dgt.is essay

Covered in The Argument: semantically faithful autoformalization is SCI-infinite, harder than the Halting problem, and OpenAI’s Lean-verified Navier-Stokes proof does not match its English argument.

On the estimation and validity of AI time horizons

A statistical look at the METR time-horizon plot: how long a task an AI can do is the headline chart of the agent era, and this paper asks whether we are measuring it right. Read against the DeepSeek essay: the horizon and the price per hour are the two numbers that decide what gets automated.

Caught in the Act: probes detect sabotage and unverbalized deception

Probes can effectively detect sabotage and catch deception the model never verbalizes. Read against the Cyber Mission: the defensive stack is getting a detection layer for the attacks the policy layer prohibits.

Ecology of AI Agents: collaboration creates a population threshold for takeoff

Agent populations have a takeoff threshold: below a critical density, collaboration fizzles; above it, capability compounds. Read against the OpenRouter churn: the board is measuring populations, and the threshold dynamics explain why a few agents compound while dozens spike and die.

Signal: The papers are all downstream of the same question: what happens when agents operate at population scale, and how do you trust any of it? Sources: Time horizons · Caught in the Act

Receipts: the provenance layer for AI work

This week’s theme is verification: Claude shows the query behind every chart, mathematicians demand the semantics behind every Lean checkmark, and Anthropic bets AI will favor defense within two years. Nobody sells the generic version. Receipts is a drop-in provenance layer for AI-generated work: every artifact an agent produces (chart, doc, deck, decision, code diff) gets an immutable receipt, the model and version, the data sources and queries run, the human edits and approvals, the timestamp. Render it as a small badge on every artifact; click through to the full audit trail. Pricing follows the week’s logic: fractions of a cent per receipt, pay-as-you-go, no subscription, because at that price it becomes the default, not the upsell. Start with teams shipping AI-generated reports to clients or regulators (consultancies, finance, healthcare), where “the AI said so” is not an acceptable citation. Expand to agent builders who need a paper trail for every autonomous action. The moat is not the badge, it is the accumulated corpus of verified provenance, the only dataset that gets more valuable as AI output gets less trustworthy. When nobody trusts the output, sell the receipt.

  1. On the Diffusibility of High-Dimensional Latents
Chao Feng, Zhiyang Xu, Bowei Chen, Yuanjun Xiong · 2026-09-23
Representation Autoencoders (RAEs) enable diffusion models to operate in the feature spaces of pretrained visual encoders. However, many off-the-shelf encoders are not optimized for faithful reconstruction, discarding fine-grained visual details. As expected, finetuning these encoders for image reco
  2. Contrastive Learning for Authorship Verification
    Peter Kirby · 2026-09-23
Our results show that contrastive learning outperforms a classification-based approach to authorship verification under the tested settings. We identify loss function, batch size, training duration, pre-trained model, input context length, and random text span data augmentation as important factors

We introduce StudentBench, a suite of AI teaching evaluations and a public platform that enables large-scale data collection
  4. Where Should I Join? Robot Group Joining via Language-Guided Goal Prediction
Zilin Fang, Zishuo Wang, Gim Hee Lee, David Hsu · 2026-09-23
Social navigation typically assumes a specified goal and focuses on reaching it while respecting social conventions, whereas robot group joining requires predicting where to join based on the group's real-time activity and formation. This is a highly semantic task, yet an important capability for ap
  5. Even Sharper Bounds for Transductive Learning and Its Applications
    Yingzhen Yang · 2026-09-23
We introduce Sharper Transductive Local Complexity (STLC), a localized complexity method for transductive learning under uniform sampling without replacement. The construction starts from a Bernstein-type concentration inequality for the supremum of the test--train empirical process. Its proof uses
  6. Can LLMs Reason About Runtime Behavior? A Repository-Level Dynamic Benchmark
Hamed Taherkhani, Mohammad Abdollahi, Melika Sepidband, Hridya Dhulipala · 2026-09-23
Large language models (LLMs) are increasingly used in coding tasks, but their ability to reason about code execution remains unclear. Existing repository-level QA benchmarks mainly evaluate static code understanding and often rely on LLM-based evaluation, while execution-reasoning benchmarks are mos
  7. Nonequilibrium Phases of Repulsive Self-Attention: Chaos, Attention Condensation, and Emergent Locality
Qucheng Gao, Zuyi Yang, Xiao Chen · 2026-09-23
We study the nonequilibrium dynamics of a minimal recurrent transformer with $N$ normalized tokens, $Q=K=I$, and a negative value map $V=-I$. Similarity-based attention selects nearby representations, while the negative value map drives tokens away from the selected field. This feedback can continua
  8. Order-Invariant Answers, Order-Sensitive Representations in Mathematical Reasoning
    Zhixu Silvia Tao · 2026-09-23
Reordering a set of mathematical rules without changing its meaning should preserve the correct answer, but must a model's internal representations stay invariant too? We investigate this question using synthetic multi-step function-composition problems, each presented under multiple rule orderings
  9. Minimal-Norm Univariate Two-Layer ReLU Classification: Exact Solutions and Global Optimality with Skip Connections
Karolina Drabik, Ben Lewis, Antoni Puch, Etienne Boursier · 2026-09-23

We give complete geometric characterizations of the optimal classifiers in function space, resolving how the solutions depend on whether hidden-lay
  10. Cross-Scale Transfer Learning for Depression Severity Prediction: From PHQ-8 to HAMD-17 Across Languages and Clinical Paradigms
Wenjie Feng, Sahba Zojaji, Satoshi Nakamura · 2026-09-23
This work addresses continuous depression-severity score prediction from clinical interview transcripts under data scarcity. We propose a sequential low-rank adaptation (LoRA) protocol for cross-scale transfer: a Qwen3 backbone with a bounded regression head is first fine-tuned on the English DAIC-W
  11. Context-Continuous Preference Learning for Exoskeleton Personalization
Sunin Baek, Sungwoo Park, Daekyum Kim · 2026-09-23
Personalizing exoskeleton assistance across operating conditions is constrained by the time and physical effort required to collect user feedback. We examined whether a user's preference landscape varies smoothly across operating conditions and when this continuity supports learning from limited fee
  12. Repairability of Inexact Solvers in Recursive State Estimation with Machine Learning
Yanjun Ji, Dennis Willsch, Orkun Şensebat, Priyanka Arkalgud Ganeshamurthy · 2026-09-23
Recursive state estimation often executes approximate numerical solutions inside a feedback loop, where highly accurate local steps do not guarantee better overall results. For a fixed linear Kalman model, we characterize when a correction within a prescribed subspace and norm budget can meet a loca
  13. Agent-Editing World Model: Rethinking World Modeling for LLM Agents
Shuang Sun, Guoxin Chen, Fanzhe Meng, Jia Deng · 2026-09-23
Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have enabled agents to tackle long-horizon tasks across diverse environments. To further improve agent performance, existing language world models typically predict environment observations, yet reconstructing high-entropy, execution-dependent tool res
  14. Frozen Flows Forget: Diagnosing and Restoring Lost Motion in a Latent-flow World Model
Xiwen Chen, Rigaudiere Z. Li, Zhiruo Zhou, Xiaojun Zhu · 2026-09-23
Latent world models that integrate a flow in a frozen self supervised latent space train stably and cheaply, yet silently lose the property manipulation depends on most: motion. The pretrained flow never moves the manipulated object; retraining it with latent-only losses only trades stillness for te
  15. Learning Holographic Reduced Representations with Clifford Variational Autoencoders
Mohamed Malek Abid, P. Michael Furlong · 2026-09-23
Vector Symbolic Algebras project data structures into a hyperdimensional vector space through the application of their vector algebras to randomly generated atomic vector symbols and fractional power encodings of real-valued data. Embedding unstructured data remains an open question. We present \tex
  16. Learning Collective Dynamics with Differentiable Gaussian Representations
Jianxiang Ma, Mingfu Zhang, Xiaocui Yang, Yichen Gao · 2026-09-23
Collective responses depend on individual differences, contact opportunities, and accumulated experience. Learning their dynamics from aggregate counts requires connecting a population's response distribution to both current observations and future behavior. We introduce Differentiable Gaussian Dyna
  17. Memory Attention
    Jiale Kang · 2026-09-23
Language models typically construct attention values from contextual hidden states, even when some of their content may be reusable across contexts. We investigate whether token-indexed memory can replace the dedicated value projection when complemented by contextual information. We propose Memory A
  18. Fine-Tuning LLMs for Translation: General Forgetting Mitigation Does Not Preserve MT-Specific Instruction Following
Niklas Scholz, David Thulke, Abdallah Nasir, Will Allred · 2026-09-23
Fine-tuning large language models on parallel data improves translation quality but can cause catastrophic forgetting. Mitigation methods are generally evaluated by retention on general benchmarks. We ask whether these findings transfer to machine translation (MT) fine-tuning and to MT-specific inst
  19. Quantum score matching with applications to learning thermal states
Yulong Dong, Jiaqi Leng · 2026-09-23
Score matching has driven major advances in classical generative learning by enabling models to learn from data without evaluating intractable normalization constants, or partition functions. Yet, extending this principle to quantum learning requires rethinking its foundations, as quantum states are
  20. When and Where to Trust the Teacher: Unifying On-Policy Distillation and GRPO through Entropy-Calibrated Credit Assignment
Jie Zhang, Jingxiao Yang, Zhehao Huang, Yuhang Liu · 2026-09-23
